There are many ways to deal with

Hemorrhoids using home treatment. Hemorrhoids can cause a lot of pain. Swelling in the rectum and anus area can cause lots of stretching and intense discomfort. Hemorrhiods, for how little they are discussed, are actually very common. Approximately fifty percent of people will have had hemorrhoids by the age of 50. Half a million people in the United States are treated for hemorrhoids in a year and 10 to 20% need surgery.
There can be effective home treatments. One is using a squatting position when going to the bathroom. There are many resources on the Internet with pictures to show good squatting positions. Sleeping with a raised leg can help circulate blood better. Using a hand held shower massage can help to shrink the swelling, relieve itching, or even get rid of them altogether.
There are also ways of reducing discomfort outside of the treatments noted above. Neosporin can help reduce swelling. Using an ice pack can help reduce the swelling a lot. It’s a good idea to leave the ice pack there for a good 15 to 20 minutes. If none of these treatments or if the pain is unbearable, you should probably consult with your doctor.
